Group sessions for parent and children

Our group sessions for children aged 0–4 and their parents offer a fun, engaging environment to bond and grow together. Through storytelling, cooking, dancing, and other interactive physical activities, families can nurture communication, encourage creativity, and strengthen relationships.

Dancing Together Mother & Baby

Dancing Together Mother & Baby-Small Steps, Big Smiles, Dancing Together! Every Wednesday at Future Youth Zone, 201, 225 Porters Ave, Dagenham RM9 5YX, 10:30am-12:00pm.

Step out, lift your mood, and move to the rhythm with your baby in this joyful 8-week postnatal dance course!

Created especially for mums and non-walking babies (3-12 months), each session helps you gently reconnect with your body, relieve tension and rebuild strength, all while soaking up precious time with your little one. Helping you feel, more like you again; each session focuses on a different area of the body that takes extra strain in early motherhood. Say goodbye to tired backs, sore shoulders and aching hips!

No previous dance experience needed: it’s a chance to get out the house, feel part of a non-judgemental, supportive group and rediscover your own rhythm while bonding closely with your baby.

Free, friendly and full of fun!

It is recommended that babies are in a sling or carrier during these sessions. Booking is required for the full 8-week course. Spaces are limited, so grab your spot and let’s dance it out!

Storytelling

Snuggle in for stories, songs, giggles and play! Every Thursday at Valence Library, Becontree Ave, Dagenham RM8 3HT, 10:00am-11:30am.

Our free storytelling sessions are perfect for families with little ones aged 0-4. Each week we’ll dive into a world of tales using interactive props, catchy songs, and sensory play. Your little ones will be able to explore fun ways to build early literacy skills and foster a love of books from the very beginning. Help bring stories to life and pick up easy tips and tricks for sharing stories at home!

Giggles and Wiggles

Giggles and Wiggles- New Beginnings and Shared Journeys! Every Friday at Thames Community Hub 10:00am-11:00am AND every Tuesday at Chadwell Heath Community Centre 10:30am-11:30am.

A friendly, relaxed group for new parents to connect and share experiences while your little ones aged 0-12 months play and explore in a safe, engaging environment. We also offer opportunities to learn something new with frequent workshops led by experts covering helpful tips, advice and early development insights.

Musical Movement

Join the fun with Musical Movements, every Monday at Valence Library, Becontree Ave, Dagenham RM8 3HT,  10:15am- 11:00am AND every Friday at Thames Community Hub, Bastable Ave, Barking IG11 0LH, 1:30pm- 2:15pm.

A joyful, interactive musical group designed especially for babies and toddlers aged 0-4! Through singing songs and nursery rhymes to dancing and sensory play to support all aspects of your child’s physical development. Little ones will be able to discover the magic of music in a warm, welcoming environment- perfect for developing early skills, sparking creativity and bonding through rhythm and sound! We can’t wait to see you there!

Into the Wild

Calling all little explorers and their grown-ups to join in the adventure at Into the Wild, every Monday at Valence Library, Becontree Ave, Dagenham RM8 3HT,  1:30pm- 2:30pm

Get ready to explore the great outdoors with your little ones in Into the Wild- a nature inspired parent and toddler group aged 0- 4. From bug hunts and playful scavenger hunts to buggy walks and picnics with friends, your little one will build key early development skills without even realising- boosting early language, imagination and nature play and confidence in a fun, relaxed setting. It’s a chance to stretch little legs, breathe fresh air and enjoy meaningful time with your child.

 So, pack a snack, grab your summer hat (or wellies!), and come adventure Into the Wild! We can’t wait to see you there!

Big Cook, Little Cook

Calling all parents! Come stir up some fun with Big Cook, Little Cook every Wednesday at Village Community Hub 10:30am- 12:00pm

Stir, sprinkle and squish your way through our fun-filled cooking and baking sessions designed just for little ones aged 18 months – 4 years old and their grown-ups! We whip up simple, hands-on recipes your little chefs will love, all while building essential early development skills through exploring textures, tastes and teamwork. From fine motor skills and language building to confidence and creativity, every session supports your child’s growth in the most delicious way! Think squishy dough, sprinkles galore, and giggles in every bowl. Come make memories and muffins in Barking and Dagenham! We can’t wait to see you there!

Free, friendly and full of fun! There is no requirement to book for these sessions and no need to bring any equipment.
