B&D Money

BD Money offers information and advice to help residents who may be struggling with money worries, debt or looking to increase their income. There are loads of interactive tools to help you find out the money you could be accessing – including benefits or grants!

Council Tax Support

Find out what support is available to you if you are struggling to pay your Council Tax or are behind with your payments.

Housing Benefit

Housing Benefit can help you pay your rent if you’re unemployed, on a low income or claiming benefits. Find out more about housing benefit and if you are able to claim.

Free School Meals

Free school meals is a government initiative which provides children with a nutritious meal during term time. You can apply for free school meals if your child is in full time education and you receive certain benefits.

Community Food Clubs

Community Food Clubs are a membership-based service where you can receive roughly £20 worth of shopping each week as well as help you with advice on money, debt, health, jobs and more!

Foodbanks

There are several places in Barking and Dagenham where you can get free food if you need help. Some food banks require a voucher to receive a food parcel, please check before visiting.
