Helping babies and young children in Barking and Dagenham to have a great start in life.

Triple P Online

Triple P Online courses are a tried and tested way of being a better parent. You can do them at home on your phone, tablet, laptop or PC, whenever you want. They are free to parents and carers with children under 2 who live in Barking and Dagenham.

 

Whether you’re looking after a new baby or want help raising happy and resilient children, Triple P Online can help you get off to a positive start.

 

Triple P Online has practical tips for parents and carers with children under 12 and you can get help from a trained worker on both courses.

Triple P Family Transitions Course

This is a five-week online course for parents going through separation or divorce. It is for people who need extra support to manage the change from a two-parent to a single-parent family.

 

There may be conflicts and problems communicating with former partners.  Parents may be struggling to talk to their children and their may be concerns about child behaviour.   Family Transition Triple P Online can help you with:

  • supporting your child to manage their emotions and develop good coping skills
  • learning new ways to minimise negative impacts and help your child to feel supported and secure
  • handle difficult moments more calmly and confidently
  • improve communication and reduce conflict with your former partner
  • take better care of your own emotional and social wellbeing
  • adapt and evolve in your new family dynamic

Triple P Group Course

An 8-week programme that supports parents promote children’s development and manage children’s behaviour in a constructive and non-hurtful way. It is based on the use of good communication and positive attention to help children develop.

 

The course will enable you to learn more about positive parenting and how you can apply it to your family.  Triple P Group online course can help you:

  • encouraging good behaviour
  • managing misbehaviour
  • settling tantrums
  • tackling disobedience
  • teaching your child new skills

Baby Triple P

An 8 week programme to help parents and carers looking for tips and ideas to help them navigate the challenges that come with having a new baby. It’s a toolbox of proven, positive strategies with a variety of practical ways to promote your baby’s development, build a stronger bond and support their emotional and physical health.

 

Baby Triple P Online can help you:

  • promote your baby’s social and cognitive development
  • learn a variety of strategies to cope with frequent crying
  • understand baby sleep patterns and healthy sleep habits
  • take better care of your own emotional and mental health
  • improve your relationship with your partner / other family members
  • enjoying life as a new parent

Children and Teen Triple P Online

An 8-week programme where you’ll be given tips and suggestions to suit the needs of your family. You’ll see scenes from Every Parent’s Guide to Teenagers DVD, which will show you how the ideas work in real life. A workbook will give you the tools and information you need to start positive parenting straight away at home.

 

Triple P Online can help you:

  • build a stronger relationship
  • negotiate boundaries and expectations
  • deal calmly with conflict
  • survive the emotional roller coaster
  • prepare for risky situations
  • equip them to handle life’s problems

Fear-Less Triple P Online 

An 8-week programme that helps you support your child. Some children and teenagers worry more than others. Anxious feelings can start to affect everyday life. The programme offers practical steps you can take to help them feel calmer and more capable. 

 

Fearless Triple P Online can help you: 

  • help children build their own toolkit to overcome anxiety 
  • break the cycle of anxiety and avoidance, in a safe and gradual way 
  • understand what’s within your control to change 
  • improve your relationship with your children 
  • enjoy being a parent more 

Starting Wednesday 5 November at Marks Gate Hub Room (Times TBC).

Triple P Stepping Stones

An 8 week programme that aims to make parenting children with disabilities easier. The strategies will enable you to learn more about positive parenting, discuss and share ideas about parenting and receive practical information about parenting skills that you can incorporate into everyday interactions with your child.
