Would you like to learn how to be the best parent you can be. Here are some ways you can!
Some you do at home online and others get you out and about, meeting people going through the same experience as you. Some are even run by local parents.

Mums Matter
Mums Matter is an eight week group for new mums to help them cope better, boost their confidence and support their mental health. Email mumsmatter@haveringmind.org.uk for more information.
Triple P for Baby
Triple P for Baby is an eight week course to help parents feel ready for their baby’s first year. Parents learn ways to bond with their baby, help them grow, and teach them new skills.
Empowering Parents Empowering Communities (EPEC)
EPEC is a 10 week course for parents of children under three who are being assessed for autism. It’s led by trained parents and helps you understand your child’s need, build confidence as a parent by giving you practical tips. You meet other parents in a similar situation and will feel less alone.
Triple P Group
Triple P Group is an eight week group for parents of children up to 12 years old. Parents learn how to set rules, encourage good behaviour, and handle challenges. Three extra phone sessions help parents practise these skills at home.
Strengthening Families, Strengthening Communities (SFSC)
SFSC is a 12-week group for parents of children from babies to teenagers. It helps parents build happy family relationships, handle stress, understand child development, and feel more confident.
Triple P Stepping Stones
Triple P Stepping Stones is a nine week group for parents of children (up to 12 years) with disabilities or long-term health conditions. It teaches parents how to support their child’s learning and behaviour and includes extra phone sessions for advice.
Triple P Teen
Triple P Teen is an eight week group for parents of teenagers. Parents learn how to guide their child, encourage good choices, and handle tricky situations.
Generation Parent Management Training Oregon (GenPMTO)
GenPMTO is a nine week group for parents of children (up to 12 years) with disabilities or long-term health conditions. It teaches parents how to support their child’s learning and behaviour and includes extra phone sessions for advice.
The Solihull Approach
The Solihull Approach is a parenting intervention for any family with a child aged between 0 and 18 years old. It is delivered by two child and family practitioners to groups of up to 12 parents over 10 weekly sessions. During these sessions, parents learn strategies that foster a deeper understanding of their child’s behaviour and improve their parenting practice.
